Under the contract, Aalesund-based Hydroniq Coolers will supply its Pleat seawater cooling system for the CLV Nexans Aurora.

Brave Tern, the 132-metre jack-up operated by Fred. Olsen Windcarrier AS, has completed a major crane refit at Damen Shiprepair Amsterdam. The main operation was the insertion of a 20-metre section into the main boom of the 800-tonne crane, allowing it to reach a height of 120 metres. Diver/technicians from the underwater repair specialist recently carried out pipe replacements on 270m shuttle tankers where the wash water from the “scrubbed” exhaust gases had corroded the pipework, resulting in water ingress. Repairs to the tankers were carried out while the vessels were alongside and remaining in operation.
