Lloyd’s Register Type Approval Received for ServoCore

ServoCore, the commercial-off-the-shelf alarm, monitoring and control solution (AMC) Servowatch Systems introduced last year, has received type approval from classification society Lloyd’s Register.

UK-based Servowatch, a business unit of the Electrical & Automation division of India’s Larsen & Toubro, adapted the technology inherent to its bespoke automation and integration solutions supplied to the naval sector to meet the commercial requirements of the merchant shipping industry.

Certification follows the successful type approval in July of SevoSentinel, Servowatch’s advanced embedded computer module for marine applications where more extensive system integration and platform management is required.

Successful type approval of the computer module was crucial to Servowatch receiving LR certification for the ServoCore solution.

The plug-in and play ServoCore system has been specifically developed to deliver a COTS solution for all merchant shipping sectors, offering shipbuilders faster installation and shorter lead times that conventional solutions.
